Located in a quiet and attractive riverside setting, St John's Jerusalem is a little gem of a chapel and garden, close to bustling Dartford.

Set against high hedges, the traditional wide herbaceous borders provide a dramatic display of summer-flowering perrenials.

With the River Darent on one side, and a moat surrounding the garden on the other three sides, you can while away the hours watching the sunlight glinting on the water and the dragonflies dancing about.

Meander through the meadow with its mown pathways, watching the butterflies flitting about. Take a close look at the Queen Anne's lace - according to folklore, you can see a little drop of blood in each head, where she pricked her finger while she was spinning.
