The Twelve Days of Christmas Experience at Sutton House

Saturday 25 November to Sunday 17 December

A special seasonal adventure featuring a spectacular series of whimsical, surreal and imaginative Christmas experiences through the halls and chambers of Hackney’s oldest home that will run each weekend from Saturday 25 November to Sunday 17 December. The unique concept has been created to tie in with Sutton House’s year long programme of community work and helps fund this work for 2018.

Designer decorations

‘This year we are excited to be working with innovative London based set designer Rebecca Phillips. Her exquisite past work and brilliant Twelve Days of Christmas proposal meant that we knew Sutton House would be in for a magical make-over this festive season’ Christopher Cleeve, House and Gardens Manager, Sutton House and Breaker’s Yard.

With former clients including Hermés, Not On The High Street, and Wilderness festival Rebecca is an artist with a varied repertoire. You can recreate iconic moments from the famous Christmas tale in Rebecca’s original style.

You can become the ninth dancing lady, drum with the twelve drummers or leap with the ten lords into Christmas merriment at Sutton House this year. The designs are co-created with the local community and include light, sound, costume, instruments, creative activities and more than a twinkle of magic.
