SEND Workshops at Sutton House

Children trying on Tudor Hats at Sutton House

We deliver workshops at Sutton House in partnerships with special schools and mainstream schools for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

What happens at our workshops?

In our SEND workshops we support communication and cognitive skills, using our handling collection, costumes, stories and different spaces.  We like to work in partnership with schools to create workshops that are designed with the pupils and your learning aims.

Workshops can be weekly, for a specific length of time, or one-offs. Facilitators have extensive experience of working with PMLD, SLD, MLD ASD and other complex needs.

This year we ran a project with Mossbourne Academy Special Education department, running over a course of 4 weeks for each group, KS3 and sixth formers. The sessions related to our Summer School of Anarchy exhibition and the young people produced art to reflect on their experience.
