Volunteer at Sutton House

Volunteering and the community

Do you love Sutton House? Would you like to spend time in the oldest house in Hackney, dating back to the Tudors? Get in touch about joining our fantastic team of volunteers - there are usually lots of opportunities and a variety of roles available to fit your interests, skills and availability.

Become part of a great team

Sutton House is an interesting, diverse place to work, and our volunteers help with aspects including 'front of house' work with visitors, tour-guiding, gardening, collection care and conservation, and interactive storytelling.  We always have a wide range of opportunities to offer, and are keen to utilise your skills and experience.

As we expand our opening, we’re particularly keen to recruit new volunteer tour guides - who can take visitors on an hour's guided tour to share our stories and history, on Wednesdays, Fridays and/or Sundays - as well as conservation and garden volunteers.

To find out about our current roles please type our postcode E9 6JQ, or Sutton House, into this volunteering search. Alternatively, please email us or telephone 020 8986 2264.
