Buscot Purple Woodland Walk

Explore the nearby woodland on this scenic three-mile circular walk, which passes through Coxwell Wood and Oak Wood, and offers open views across the surrounding countryside.

Start point

Badbury National Trust Car Park

Step 1

Park at the National Trust car park at Badbury Hill.

Step 2

Follow the track away from the car park and down through the woods, then enter the open farm land.

Step 3

Follow the hedgelines to Brimstone Farm.

Step 4

Turn right through the farmyard and continue past Oldfield Farm towards the Buscot Park cricket club.

Step 5

Turn right here through a gate along a track.

Step 6

Follow the waymarkers carefully as they take you through the woods, then turn to the right through Oak Wood, finally coming back out onto open farm land beneath Coxwell Woods.

Step 7

Follow the way markers back up to Badbury Hill.
