Make a day of it: visit Great Chalfield Manor

Great Chalfield Manor with its glorious garden is just half an hour's pleasant walk from The Courts Garden. Why not pick up a leaflet (50p) from reception and make a horticultural day of it – property openings coincide on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. You do not need to book to visit the garden at Great Chalfield Manor, but please book to guarantee entry to the house.

Picnic on the grass by an apple tree

Bring a picnic

There currently are no refreshments available onsite, but you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to enjoy in our picnic areas. Benches are set out in the orchard, you can spread a rug under the trees in the Arboretum, or head for our 'indoor' picnic area if the weather is being British!

Distinctive red tulips grow at the side of a stone path at The Courts Garden, Holt.
