Visiting The Homewood: what you need to know

The garden at The Homewood

We’re reopening The Homewood for outdoor guided tours. This is a lived in family home so to keep everyone safe, the tour will be outside only and won’t be going inside the house.

The visit will consist of a volunteer led guided tour of the exterior of the house and an introduction to the garden, followed by some free time in the garden. To enable as many people as possible to visit the maximum length of stay is 1 ½ hours; this will include the time taken up by tour

There will be 3 tours per day, at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm lasting 45 minutes. Spaces are limited to 8 places per tour and all tickets must be booked in advance

Sorry, no dogs or picnics allowed.

How to book your outdoor tour

Every Friday we'll release new bookings for tours the following week. You can book until 18 hours before a timeslot.

All visitors, including members must book an outdoor tour ticket in advance.  There is no charge for entry or parking for members, but please bring your membership card with you. Non-members will need to pay in advance.

·   Please book one ticket per person, except for children aged 5 or under as they don’t need a ticket.

·   Tickets are for your use only and are not available for resale

·   We'll send your booking confirmation by email. Please make sure you fill in your correct email address when you book to ensure you receive your confirmation email.

·   Due to limited spaces, we’re asking that you only book once a week to allow others a chance to visit.
