Visiting The Homewood: what you need to know

We’re delighted to have reopened the Homewood for pre-booked guided tours on the first Saturday and subsequent Fridays of every month. Tickets will be released for sale 2 weeks in advance of the tour dates. Due to limited spaces booking is essential.

There will be 3 tours per day, at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm lasting 50 minutes. Spaces are limited to 8 places per tour and all tickets must be booked.Tickets will be released 2 weeks in advance, on a rolling cycle.  . 

Sorry, no dogs or picnics allowed.  

How to book your tour  

You can book your tour from 2 weeks in advance, and up to 8am on the day of your visit (where slots are available).  

All visitors, including members must book a tour ticket in advance. There is no charge for entry or parking for members, but please bring your membership card with you. Non-members will need to pay in advance. 

  • Please book one ticket per person, except for children aged 5 or under as they don’t need a ticket. 
  • Tickets are for your use only and are not available for resale.
  • We’re sorry, we are unable to provide refunds for unused tickets. However, if you are unable to come, please do email us on thehomewood@nationaltrust.org.uk
  • We’ll send your booking confirmation by email. Please make sure you fill in our correct email address when you book, to ensure that you receive your confirmation email.

Parking  

Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your allocated arrival time.  On arrival you will be met by a volunteer who will direct you where to park.

Facilities 

Please note there are no toilets facilities or refreshments at The Homewood. For toilets and a café Claremont Landscape Garden is a short 2-minute drive away.  

Accessibility 

There is level access to the flagstone terrace from the parking area. The first-floor rooms are accessed by a spiral staircase only; the majority of the show rooms are upstairs. All outside areas of the house visited as part of the tour are accessible. Parts of the garden may be inaccessible to wheelchair users. Seating can be provided at all stages of the tour; please request when booking..
