For the 70th Anniversary of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I being honoured as a Freeman of the City of Bath, during His State and Private Visit to Britain in 1954, the communities of Fairfield House will be celebrating at Bath Assembly Rooms.
Come and share different cultural entertainment and activities from the communities of Fairfield House, Home of HIM Emperor Haile Selassie including:
Iman Gebre Yesus and the One Dub Soundsystem ft Rastafari, Windrush and Ethiopian music Bath Ethiopian music tribute performance
Educational talks hosted by Imperial Voice Radio and Bath Spa University
Rastafari drummers
Kulcha Lee African heritage Art installations, drumming workshop and children's activities
Cultural Stalls and information booths from the communities and charities of Fairfield House.
Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony
Display of the ceremonial carpet gifted by His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I to the City of Bath.
