Mini hard hat tours for Festival of Archaeology

Take a mini guided tour of the basement to see the archaeology discoveries below the principal rooms.

As part of the Festival of Archaeology we're offering mini hard hat tours.

These mini tours will last 30 minutes and will only cover the lower ground floor. It will focus on the Cold Bath and other discoveries that have been made as part of the uncovering works. You'll be able to see the original stone vaults under the Great Octagon and some original stone floors.

These tours have limited places and are suitable for over 18s only, this specialist tour costs £7.50 per person (both members and non-members).

Meeting point

Meet at the main entrance, your guide will take you to the lower ground floor.

What to bring and wear

You will need to wear a hard hat during the mini hard hat tour, please wear sensible shoes.

Accessibility

The lower ground floor is only accessible via steps at this time.

Other

Tours will start promptly at the stated ticket time, please arrive 5 to 10 minutes in advance. once the tour has started, late arrivals will not be able to be accommodated.
