During 2023 the Christmas themed advent trail returned for one last time, along with bigger and better Christmas decorations. The garden is a perfect place for a peaceful escape away from the city crowds.

Christmas 2023 has now finished at Prior Park

The information below details what happened at Prior Park in December 2023. We hope you enjoyed visiting and looking forward to welcoming you back in 2024. Please check back closer to Christmas 2024 to see what will be available in the garden.

Family Christmas trail

Follow the advent trail hidden in 24 logs around the garden. The calendar doors open to reveal seasonal images, riddles and facts about Christmases past. The trail will be running throughout weekends in December and during the two-week school holiday (closed 24 and 25 December).

Christmas decorations

In 2023 the decorations will be even bigger and better with the Palladian Bridge dressed with festive foliage in time for the school holidays - perfect for a winter picture, and you'll find wreaths at the Tea Shed and visitor reception. Decorations will be on display from Saturday 16 Dec.

Christmas food and drink

You’ll be able to grab a festive snack and seasonal beverages from the Tea Shed in the Cabinet, which will be open on selected days during the winter months.
