Heritage Open Days 2024 at Anglesey Abbey

We're opening our doors for Heritage Open Days between the 9 and 15 September. Pre-book your free entry tickets here.

  • Booking essential

Come and explore the beautiful gardens and house at Anglesey Abbey. See riots of colour in the Dahlia Border, visit the picturesque Lode Mill, and find out more about the collection at Anglesey Abbey.

During his life, Lord Fairhaven collected and commissioned the work of several East Anglian artists: from English landscape paintings by Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable, to contemporary depictions of the estate by Leonard Squirrell and Edward Seago. Lord Fairhaven used his collection to root himself, his title, and his estate into the wider cultural and social backdrop of the time, using art to express this public identity. Explore the exhibition trail in the House to unlock the connections Anglesey Abbey has with East Anglia in the collection.

Full of adventures waiting to happen, the Woodland Play Area is great for children of all ages to have a wild adventure. Reach new heights on the swings or test your agility with our new scramble climber. There's plenty to do if you're looking to get stuck into nature, from den building to scavenger hunting, the possibilities are endless!

Pre-booking is essential for free entry to the property. Tickets can be booked via our website.

Members do not need to pre-book. For non-members without a pre-booked ticket normal admission applies.
