National Mills Weekend at Houghton Mill
Celebrate National Mills Weekend at the historic Houghton Mill. Discover the long and often surprising story of one of the last working watermills.
- Booking not needed
- Admission applies
Join us on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May to celebrate National Mills Weekend. Explore the historic watermill and follow the journey from grain to flour across three floors of traditional machinery.
Our friendly volunteers will be on hand to share Houghton's story - how the mill was one of the most successful in the region, exporting flour far and wide. You will be able to watch the waterwheel in action, as it powers the millstones and grinds flour from local Cambridgeshire wheat.
We will be open from 11:00 to 16:00 on both days.
