Festive block printing workshop
Celebrate the season with creativity and colour in this joyful festive workshop!
- Booking essential
Design and hand-print your own wrapping paper, Christmas card, gift tag, and reusable fabric gift bag, using beautiful hand-carved wooden blocks, a traditional art form from the vibrant region of Rajasthan, India.
The session begins with a live demonstration to guide you through the techniques, before giving you plenty of time to play, experiment, and create your own festive patterns. Once you’ve found your flow, you’ll bring your final designs to life, ready to add a personal, handcrafted touch to your holiday gifts.
No experience is needed. These friendly, welcoming sessions are all about slowing down, connecting with your creativity, and finding joy in the process.
Your guide for the day is Claire from Chalo Block Printing, whose love of India was sparked during her first backpacking trip in the 1990s. Her many journeys through India, gathering fabrics, art, and memories, along with her background in wellbeing as a Holistic Massage Therapist, bring a spirit of mindfulness, colour, and history to every workshop.
