Pieces of Blossom Artwork
We’ve been working with local community groups to create a series of blossom inspired artwork.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
The installations will be on display at Quarry Bank, Lyme, Dunham Massey and Castlefield Viaduct throughout May.
Each of the community groups have also worked together to co-create four separate pieces called 'Pieces of Blossom - what does blossom mean to you?'. The four pieces will be joined together to create one larger, artwork that will tour around all four places in May.
Working with Manchester Little Artists, children from Crown Street Primary have created a falling blossom installation, made up of colourful petals, monoprinted flowers and 3D junk art. Pinc College have created a blossom exhibition made up of photography, paint and sculpture.
The installations will be on display at Castlefield Viaduct from Friday 2 May, where you can also get hands on with blossom themed crafts and other activities including poetry events and writing walks.
In addition on the 17th and 18th May there will be a large-scale jigsaw using the artwork from the installation to play with!
