Wednesday @ 1: The Mosses that Make Manchester
For this Wednesday @ 1, dive into some of the surprising stories that connect Manchester and one fascinating group of miniature plants: mosses.
- Booking essential
Plants and humans live and migrate together: our lives are entangled, especially in cities.
Manchester's connections with mosses go back to our boggy beginnings and the moors that surround us today. Discover how this smallest of plants has impacted our city with experts from MossWorlds, interdisciplinary project based at the University of Manchester, which investigates the historical, contemporary and future importance of mosses in the Greater Manchester area.
While you're here, you can also see the Mossworlds exhibition that brings together artworks, poetry and music all inspired by moss.
