Enjoy a walk in the gardens, for free, as part of Heritage Open Day. Open from 10.30am - 5pm, last entry to the gardens at 4pm.

Hare Hill is welcoming visitors for free as part of Heritage Open Day. Take a walk around the gardens, try spotting birds from the bird hide, or bring a picnic to enjoy in the peaceful walled garden.

Please head to the Welcome Building in the car park. Our team will help you make the most of your day out.
- What to bring and wear
Wear footwear suitable for walking in the outdoors. Come prepared for the weather on the day.
- Accessibility
Blue Badge parking. Accessible toilet. Step-free route around garden with level paths. Manual wheelchair and powered mobility Tramper vehicle available to borrow. There are some steps within the garden but a level access route is available. Only assistance dogs are permitted in the walled and wooded garden.
- Other
There is no cafe or tea-room at Hare Hill but we sell hot and cold drinks to go and light snacks from the Welcome Building. If bringing a picnic please take all litter home with you. Please leave all balls, frisbees and scooters at home - thank you for helping us to look after the historical gardens and parklands. Car park and gate to permissive path locked promptly at 5pm. No smoking or vaping allowed anywhere in the gardens.
