Botany and butterfly walks
Come and discover the butterflies and wildflowers we care for at Quarry Bank.
- Booking essential
From the blue butterflies that Thomas Greg caught in his hat as a boy, to the newly planted wildflowers, this is a chance to explore the past and present the wider estate has to offer.
Led by one of our Rangers, the walk will meander through the grasslands here at Quarry Bank, where we will hopefully see more than a dozen species of butterfly.
If that doesn’t get you all of a flutter, we will also dive into the sward and look at what makes these meadows so great for a wealth of wildlife by learning about the plants they are home to.
