Wet Felting Workshop: Wet Felted Waves
Dive into colour, texture, and movement with our Wet Felted Waves Workshop.
- Booking essential
Inspired by the rhythm of the sea, this workshop guides you through creating a richly layered wet-felted artwork full of depth, flow, and expressive detail. Led by fibre artist Vicky Pulman of Needlessly Felted, this workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced felters. You’ll explore the wet felting process from start to finish — laying out fibres, blending colours, incorporating texture, and using warm water and agitation to form a strong, cohesive piece of felt. Throughout the session, you’ll learn how to create movement and dimension in your design, capturing the shifting energy of waves, tides, and water.
What's Included? - A generous assortment of fibres: merino, Corriedale, Shetland, silks, sari ribbon, locks, nepps, and textured embellishment fibres - All tools and equipment needed for wet felting - Expert guidance on building depth, flow, and layered effects - Entry to Tatton Park, with time to enjoy the natural scenery for inspiration - A completed wet-felted waves artwork to take home
Why Attend? This workshop offers a calming, creative experience, ideal for anyone who loves the coast or wants to explore expressive, highly textured wet-felting techniques. With a wide range of fibres to experiment with, you’ll create a piece that is uniquely yours — rich, dynamic, and full of movement. It’s a wonderful way to spend a spring day at Tatton Park while learning a versatile felting skill.
