Hand Embroidery Workshop: Sustainable Stitching

Join Robyn from Oh Sew Cute for a fun and creative workshop.

  • Booking essential

In this relaxed and inspiring session, you will learn how to use beautiful stick and stitch patches to transform and personalise clothing you already own. Designed to encourage sustainable stitching, this workshop is perfect for giving new life to tired, worn, or damaged garments. You will choose from a variety of floral, botanical, and insect-inspired designs, then learn how to peel, position, and stitch your patch directly onto fabric. Once your embroidery is complete, you will simply rinse the patch away under warm water — leaving behind your beautifully stitched design. This workshop gently guides you through essential embroidery techniques. Whether you’re repairing a small hole, covering a stain, or simply adding decorative detail, you will leave with the confidence to continue stitching at home. By the end of the session, you will have a finished embroidered garment — and the skills to keep customising your wardrobe with confidence.

Knowledge Required: No prior embroidery experience needed – beginners are very welcome. This workshop is also ideal for those looking to refresh their skills or explore visible mending techniques.

Materials: Stick and stitch patches (floral, botanical & insect designs) Needle and embroidery threads Your own uniquely embroidered garment or piece, practical skills in visible mending and fabric customisation, confidence to continue stitching and upcycling at home.
