Smartphone Photo Editing Workshop

Learn how to transform your photos in this hands on editing workshop with professional photographer, Jane Burkinshaw.

  • Booking essential

Learn to transform your photos using free apps on your phone. If you love taking photos but aren’t always happy with the results, this relaxed, hands-on workshop will show you how to edit everyday snapshots into images you’re proud to share. Over 3.5 hours, we’ll use your phone’s built-in tools and Snapseed to fix common issues and develop your own style. You’ll learn how to see what an image needs, using a simple approach:

1. Fix what’s wrong (brightness, colours, crop, removing distractions etc). 2. Enhance the mood and style using filters and other tools.

You’ll practise through fun, practical exercises, with step-by-step demos and plenty of time for questions. You’ll leave with the confidence to edit any photo beautifully — whether it’s food, people, travel, or everyday moments. Perfect for: beginners, hobbyists, small business owners, and anyone who wants better photos without complicated or expensive software.

The event includes access to the parkland and entry to the attractions used in the workshop (which may vary depending on the time of year).
