Cornwall in Conflict

Explore Antony's connections to war and conflict with our object-in-focus house trail.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Pick up an information booklet and discover the stories behind some of the artefacts and militaria found throughout the house.

From the English Civil War to the Second World War, the Carews of Antony have been involved in local and international conflicts. Learn more about these clashes, read their war stories, and discover the treasure trove of militaria that the Antony collection holds.

The house is open between 12.30pm and 4.30pm (last entry 4pm) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays (from June-August), and all Bank Holidays until 30th October 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: As Antony is a lived-in family home, we cannot always guarantee that the upstairs of the house will open, and some of the artefacts highlighted on the trail may not be visible on these days.
