Porth café project

The old buildings at Porth have undergone a facelift, turning them into a beautiful new café and toilet facility. Helping to make more of each visit to Towan beach, a walk along the coast path, or when exploring the creeks and woodland around Froe Creek.

Porth sewage project

Porth waterworks upgrade project

The overhaul of the drainage system at Porth, and the installation of a sewage treatment plant, means that all the waste from the café and the public toilets we provide is now much more environmentally friendly, reducing the risk of pollution and the need for lots of lorry trips to empty the old-fashioned tanks. This project, together with the restoration of the café building and toilets, was only possible with the help of grant funding from the Rural Protection Agency using funds jointly provided by the European Agricultural Fund and DEFRA.
