Signals
Telling the story of the navigational history of St Anthony Head in signal flags.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Artist, Annabel Harris is displaying work in the landscape around St Anthony Head to follow key moments in the site's navigational history from the 1400s until the present day. In her words 'So many stories of heroism and bravery, loss and recovery. The sea always has a lot to say. Maritime signal flags interested me and would be weather resistant, and so became a starting point. The raw edges on the flags and fraying suggests the constant falling apart and erosive energy of this wild place'.
Come along to St Anthony Head and discover her work as you wander around the headland.
