Meet the Victorian falconers and visit the traditional Hawk Mews where you'll find a beautiful collection of falconry birds quietly at rest in the walled garden at Trelissick.
Raphael Historic Falconry will present a series of flying demonstrations about the revival of the ancient art of hawking in modern times. You'll learn why hawks and falcons often featured at grand country estates, find out more about hawking for the table and listen to old tales of avian folklore.
Displays will take place daily at 11am, 1pm and 3pm between Wednesday 27 and Sunday 31 May and you'll be able to view the birds at rest in the Hawk Mews 10am-4.30pm.
