This temporary public sculpture was created specifically for the meadow at A la Ronde. It symbolises the power of natural materials to filter and purify water. Barnacles area strong indicators of water quality in coastal ecosystems These giant barnacles were fabricated using materials with water filtering properties; Roman concrete combined with biochar, shell fragments zeolite minerals and iron oxide.

The sculpture can be viewed from the accessible path, which is suitable for wheel chairs and pushchairs in all weathers.
