Why did a group of 13th century monks leave their monastery on the Isle of Wight to build an abbey in rural Devon? What was it like, and how much of the monastery survives today?
You will discover fascinating architecture and facts at every turn, and piece together the story of Buckland Abbey, from its first-laid stones to the dissolution of the monasteries.
This event takes place on the first Thursday of every month. The tour is free and lasts about 1.5 hours. Pre-booking essential.
