Meeting point

The Hydro Turbine Building is located by the Salmon leaps along the river Teign.

What to bring and wear

Please wear suitable clothing. The Dartmoor weather is changeable, and the location requires some walking on rough uneven paths.

The location is around a 40-minute walk down from the castle car park. The route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. If parking at Fingle Bridge, walkers can access the Hydro by following the Fisherman’s path.

There is no charge to access the estate (where the Hydro is located). Car parking charges apply at the Castle Drogo car park and to access the castle and grounds. The event will be cancelled in the event of high winds. Please check the website before travelling.
