Farm walk at Southdown Farm

In May and July, we will be doing two guided tours with National Trust rangers of Southdown Farm which is an important and stunning coastal farm.

Early evening is a great time for discovering the rich abundance of wildlife here. Since managing the farm in a much more nature-friendly way, the amount and variety of birds, insects and mammals has increased significantly. Learn how the Trust and the tenants have been working hard to improve the value of the farm for wildlife.

What to bring and wear

Dress appropriately for the weather, it is an exposed farm so bring layers, sun cream, etc. Wear sturdy footwear suitable for uneven ground. Bring a drink and snack.

Accessibility

The guided walk is 2/3 miles at a steady pace stopping along the way, the ground is uneven and there are some steep hills
