Walking Week - Lorna Doone Valley Trail

Join the West Somerset Ramblers on this picturesque walk to explore the famous Doone Valley and wider Exmoor landscape.

Join the West Somerset Ramblers on a 10 mile ramble through the Doone Valley along Badgworthy Water to the abandoned medieval village to the famed Robber's Bridge. Along the way you will experience amazing views of the expansive moorland of Exmoor, beautiful woodland and vibrant rivers. The walk celebrates the 200th birthday of R.D.Blackmore the author of Lorna Doone.

Pease meet at the Buttery Tearoom (EX35 6NU)

What to bring and wear

Pease were suitable footwear, waterproofs and warm clothing as this event is taking place on the moor and the weather can be unpredictable. Please bring any snacks, hot drinks and lunch.

Accessibility

This walk is not suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Child carriers area available to borrow form the Welcome Hut.
