Wildlife Picnic - family fun at Parke

Come on over to the Parke Estate for some fun in the sunshine with wildlife themed activities and lawn games. Everyone welcome.

Drop-in for some fun activities and games in the picnic area at the Parke Estate. Rangers from the National Trust, Bug Life, Pine Marten Project and the Bovey Hedgehog group will be on hand to offer fun activities and games for all the family. Learn about the local bugs, get creative, or perhaps have a game of giant Jenga.

FREE LUNCHES. We will also be joined by Better Places who are able to provide a limited number of free packed lunches for children. Or please do bring your own and settle in to this beautiful garden. Get in touch if you would like to know more, otherwise we'll see you there...

The basics

Accessibility

The picnic area is accessible via a grassy path off the driveway. There are wheelchair accessible tables. Please let us know if you need any support before the day.

The event is aimed at children but will be fun for all.

What to bring and wear

You might like to bring your own picnic and a rug. Refreshments are available at Home Farm Cafe, or there are free packed lunches available for children (numbers limited).

There is no admission fee at Parke but car parking charges apply - free for National Trust members. It's possible to walk or cycle to Parke from Bovey Tracey, half a mile away.
