Volunteer for the day
Fancy getting outdoors and stuck into some hands-on conservation work? Would you like to help create more wildflower habitat at beautiful Parke?
- Booking essential
- Free event (admission applies)
We welcome you to join the rangers for this fun and satisfying conservation task on the Parke Estate. We will be sowing wildflower seed that has been harvested from another National Trust site nearby. You can return in the spring and summer to see species such as betony, oxeye daisy and bird's-foot trefoil, all wonderful food plants for our little winged pollinators.
*Volunteers of all ages are welcome – however if you bring your children, please note they need to be under your supervision. *No experience is needed. *All tools and instructions will be provided. *Please wear sturdy footwear, waterproofs or wellies and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. *Bring a packed lunch and water bottle. We'll bring the squash and biscuits for break!
*Only have a few hours to spare? There is no need to stay all day, we'd still love your help.
