Join the National Trust and our volunteers to help plant trees in the Community Woodland at Wembury Barton Farm.

Come and help us plant trees in Wembury Community Woodland.
This will form part of the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest, a partnership between the National Trust, the Woodland Trust, Plymouth City Council and South Hams District Council, and is part of the wider Defra-funded Community Forest scheme.
You will be rewarded for your help with a warm pasty and hot drinks!
What does a tree planting day look like?
On arrival at the tree planting site, our ranger team will talk you through what you will be doing, so no experience is necessary. The aim is not to plant the most trees but to give them the best start so they can grow big and strong. Please feel free to take breaks as and when you need. Please let the rangers know before you leave site if you need to go before the finish time.

- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy boots/ wellies, waterproofs and lots of warm layers you don't mind getting muddy. If you have them, please bring a pair of gardening gloves with you.
- Accessibility
Please note: The walk to site will be approximately 1.5km each way along public footpaths. The ground is steep and uneven in places and will be wet and muddy at this time of year.

* Please note: There is no minibus shuttle for this day, therefore participants will be required to walk approx. 1.5km to our tree planting site. Our rangers will guide you and its a good opportunity for you to learn more about the National Trust and our nature-friendly future at Wembury.
