Community Tree Planting at Woolacombe

Join us this December for a community tree planting day at Woolacombe, opposite Marine Drive car park.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Join us this December for a community tree planting day at Woolacombe, opposite Marine Drive car park.

Help plant 2,000 trees and be part of creating a new area of wood pasture, a traditional land management system that combines grazing land with scattered trees and shrubs.

We'll be planting clusters of trees within the existing meadow. These small pockets of trees create valuable edge habitat, the space where open grassland meets woodland. These area are rich in wildlife and provide opportunities for a wide range of species, from birds and insects to fungi and lichens. The trees will also create shade and shelter for grazing animals.

Whether you love getting your hands dirty, want to make a positive impact for nature, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, we'd love you to join us. No experience is needed and all ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult).

All essential equipment will be provided, but please bring your own gloves if you have them. And because it's December, feel free to bring your festival hats and Christmas jumpers!
