Improve your photography and explore North Devon with local photographer Joshua Day.

Whether you have just embarked on your photography journey or are refining your skills, Josh will provide expert tuition to support your image-making, all whilst exploring the beautiful North Devon Coast. This is a two-day experience at Combesgate beach to take photos and a day at Baggy Point to learn about editing. This course includes an A3 mounted print of your favourite image to take home.

Day one - 16:30 - 20:30

The afternoon will start with an inspiring introduction to Combesgate Beach from one of the Rangers who cares for this special place. We will then venture onto the golden sands flowing amongst the dramatic slate formations to learn and explore creative camera settings and composition techniques. Then, as the sun begins to set, you will photograph the beautiful Combesgate Beach with my support.

Day two - 10:00 - 12:30

We will meet at Baggy Point, one of the most dramatic headlands in North Devon, cared for by the National Trust. In the comfort of Sandleigh, we will edit the images we made on day one and spend time evaluating what we have achieved. We will prepare them for print in Lightroom, and you’ll take home an A3 Giclee mounted print of your favourite image of Combesgate Beach.
