Fabulous fungi on Brownsea Island

Join experts from the Dorset Fungus Group for a fungi walk on Brownsea Island. Discover and identify fascinating fungi and enjoy the thrill of finding rare and beautiful specimens.

  • Booking essential

See how many different species of fungi you can find and identify together. There are many different shapes and colours and species can found growing on trees, deadwood, on the woodland floor, and on grassland. Look out for common earth balls, shaggy ink caps, and the spectacular fly agaric.

Listen to mystical fungi folklore and learn about the medicinal and edible properties of different species from our knowledgeable guides. Novices and experts are all welcome to come and learn more about the role that fungi play in the ecosystem and how important they are on a global scale.

It's a unique experience that promises to be both educational and unforgettable. Ticket price includes boat fare, entry, and the guided walk, ensuring you have an all-inclusive adventure.
