Signed tour of Hardy's Cottage

This is a house and garden tour of Hardy's Cottage arranged especially for our deaf and hard of hearing communities which will be fully signed by one of our volunteers.

We want to welcome our deaf and hard of hearing community to Hardy's Cottage this morning for a special signed tour of the house and garden which will be signed by our BSL trained volunteer.

The tour will last approximately 30 minutes and after you will be free to look around the cottage at your leisure.

We are also offering signed tours at three other houses - Max Gate, Clouds Hill and Hardy Monument.

Meeting point

Please come to the welcome kiosk at Hardy's Cottage. You will need to park at Thorncombe Woods (which is Dorset Council owned) and leave enough time to walk from here to the cottage (approx 20 mins).

What to bring and wear

Part of the tour may be outside as we walk around the garden so weather appropriate clothing is recommended. If you choose the woodland walk to the cottage from the car park you may need sturdy shoes.

Accessibility

The tour will be fully signed. If you need to park close to the cottage we have 2 accessible parking spaces available to book for blue badge holders.
