Orchid walk at Badbury Rings

Take a ramble around the rings with a National Trust Ranger to see the abundance of orchids and wildflowers. The walk will be around 1.5 miles in length and take approximately 1.5 hours.

Taking in fine views from the Iron Age hill fort of Badbury Rings, whilst also discovering some of the wild orchids which grow around the ramparts.

Badbury Rings is home to 17 varieties of orchids which many will be in bloom throughout June and the Ranger will take you to key orchid spots.

You will have the opportunity to discover more about the wildlife that calls this area home and also hear about some of the conservation work that is helping manage this site for the benefit of orchids as well as other nature that thrive on the site.

What to bring and wear

Please wear appropriate sturdy walking shoes and clothing for the weather conditions. Ground can be wet and muddy following rain. Please bring any food and drink needed.
