Diwali – Festival of Light
Diwali is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. While it holds religious significance for different faiths, its ultimate message is the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. It is a season of joy, homecoming, magic, and celebration.
During Diwali, homes are decorated with lights, marigolds, and rangoli patterns. Rangoli—meaning “rows of colours”—is traditionally displayed at entrances, with vibrant designs filled with coloured powders, petals, or other materials.
Over the 11th and 12th October, help us to create our own Dunstable Downs community Rangoli. Join our staff and volunteers to add your own lentils to the design and join in on our Celebration of Light.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. We will be creating the Rangoli outside in the mian courtyard. (if it is raining, we will put up gazebos as shelter).

This event is accessible to all, with step-free access. The Rangoli piece will be on a flat table surface. All are invited to get involved.
