Escape into Autumn

Celebrate autumn with hands-on family fun and nature-inspired activities in Paycocke’s Garden this half term.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Inspired by the colours and traditions of the season, our family-friendly activities invite you to slow down, explore nature, and have some wholesome fun together. Set within our beautiful garden and writers’ shelter, it’s the perfect spot to play, discover, and take in the crisp autumn air. Get creative with mindful colouring, help us craft a vibrant string of leaf bunting, or, if you're feeling adventurous, have a go at the classic countryside challenge, welly wanging! There’s no need to book, just wrap up warm, bring your imagination (and your best throwing arm!), and drop by admissions when you arrive. Entry to the garden, tea-room and bookshop is free. Standard admission charges apply for entry to the house.
