Escape into Autumn

Celebrate autumn with free hands-on family fun and nature-inspired activities in Paycocke’s Garden this half term.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Inspired by the colours and traditions of the season, our free family-friendly activities invite you to slow down, explore nature, and have some wholesome fun together.

Set within our beautiful garden and writers’ shelter, it’s the perfect place to play, discover, and take in the crisp autumn air. Get creative with mindful colouring, help us craft a vibrant string of leaf bunting, or, if you're feeling adventurous, have a go at the classic countryside challenge, welly wanging!

There’s no need to book, just wrap up warm, bring your imagination (and your best throwing arm!), and pop by admissions when you arrive.

Entry to the garden, tea-room and bookshop is free. Standard admission charges apply for entry to the house. Please note last entry to the site is 3:30pm.
