Interested in finding out about the history and significance of Major Lawrence Johnston's garden at Hidcote, join one of our knowledgeable Garden Guides for a one-hour behind-the-scenes guided tour of the garden.

Explore how Hidcote developed from a Cotswold sheep farm to a Grade I listed garden with international significance. What attracted Johnston, a self-taught horticulturalist and wealthy American, to Hidcote Bartrim and how he changed the landscape and reputation of this small hamlet in the north Cotswolds forever.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 3pm, when a volunteer is available.

To book and pay at the Visitor Reception on the day. Tickets are £2 per person.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets can be purchased at the Hidcote Visitor Reception.

The tour will take place in the garden and may involve uneven pathways and steps. Please let the Guide know at the start of the tour if you have any mobility issues and where possible, an accessible route will be taken.
