'The Final Act' - manor tours 2026
Charles Wade would invite close friends to his home, where he would dress in a variety of costumes from his collection. Every great theatre needs a costume department and luckily for Mr. Wade his was down the corridor.

‘The Final Act’ will take you to the heart of the exhibition, ‘Threads of Identity’. Your host will meet you and guide you on a short walk to the Manor. There they will share behind the scenes details about this year’s refreshed exhibition, ‘Threads of Identity - The Final Act'. You will be introduced to a selection of the star pieces from the Snowshill costume collection, featured in the National Trust publication '100 Things to Wear'. Afterwards enjoy, at your leisure, a complimentary drink at the café.

There is a 500 metre undulating walk to the Manor. The Manor tour is on several floor levels accessible only by stairs. A passenger buggy will also be available for use.
- Meeting point
Park in the main car park and meet your guide at Visitor Reception who will be waiting to welcome you.
- Suitability for children
Children free with full paying adult.
- What to bring and wear
Warm clothing, raincoat and a suitable footwear for the walk between the Café and the Manor.
- Other
A refreshments voucher will be provided at the end of the Manor tour for use in the Café on the day of your visit. A drink of your choice (excludes alcohol) and a cake or bake.
