Local artists Miggie Bruce and Ali Fraser are exhibiting at Sandham Memorial Chapel from Saturday 9th to Monday 25th May, 2026.

Miggie is the younger daughter of GW Allinson, who was well known locally in the 1950's and 60's. He worked mostly in oils and gouache and specialised in landscapes, equestrian subjects and portraits including equestrian portraits. She discovered watercolour later in life and studied for a number of years under the renowned botanical artist, Jenny Jowett and has exhibited with the Society of floral painters also with the SAA. She always paints from life and likes to depict fruit and vegetables as well as flowers and particularly enjoys subjects from the natural world including wildflowers, lichens and fungi.
