Sandham Memorial Chapel Fete
Saturday 14 September, 11am-3pm: Part of Heritage Open Days, on one day only, non-members enjoy free admission and free events including chapel tours, poetry readings, a display, an art activity and tea and biscuits.

Home to an epic series of large-scale murals by the acclaimed artist Stanley Spencer created to honour the ‘forgotten dead' of the First World War. Indoors, join us for deep-dive tours of Stanley Spencer’s paintings, reflective poetry readings and a display about the significance of friendship during conflict. Outside in the garden, enjoy an art station and help yourself to a cuppa and a biscuit for £2.50. Garden events are weather dependant.
Tours run at quarter to and at quarter past the hour. Poetry and letter readings associated with the First World War on the hour and at the half hour.
