- Booking essential
Join us for a gentle guided walk through the ancient woodland of Borthwood Copse on the Isle of Wight, where nature’s seasonal bounty awaits discovery.
In collaboration with Field Studies and led by experienced forager Joseph, this two-hour walk invites you to explore the edible plants and fungi that thrive in this enchanting National Trust woodland. Learn how to identify wild foods safely, hear stories of their folklore and traditional uses, and gain practical tips on how to forage responsibly and sustainably.
As you wander beneath the canopy of oak and sweet chestnut, Joseph will share insights into how wild ingredients can be incorporated into everyday cooking, helping you connect more deeply with the landscape and the rhythms of the seasons.
This event is perfect for beginners and those curious about wild food. It’s a chance to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of one of the island’s most atmospheric woodlands.
