Compton Bay / Hanover Point - Car park

There are three National Trust pay-and-display car parks located at Brook, Hanover, and Compton, all managed via the JustPark app. Parking is free for National Trust members, but members must register their membership card details within the app to receive this benefit. Non-members can pay directly through the JustPark app.

During the summer season, visitors can also pay for parking at our Food & Beverage Van which will be present on site 5 days a week.

If you are unable to pay on the day or experience poor mobile signal, please make a note of the location code and complete your payment when you are able. You have up to 48 hours after your visit to pay, including from home.

JustPark location codes:

Brook Chine: 80526
Compton Bay Hanover: 80545
Compton Chine: use Compton Bay code 80545
Newtown: 80634
St Helens Duver: 80680

To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend downloading the JustPark app before arriving at the site.

Coach Drop-off and Pick-up

Please note that Compton Bay car park is not suitable for coach access. Coaches should use the bus stops nearby for both drop-off and pick-up. The bus stop on the westbound side offers direct pedestrian access into the car park. Once passengers have disembarked, coaches must park elsewhere until collection time. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate coach parking on-site. There is a designated coach parking spot further down military road at our Brook Bay car park.

Important Parking Restrictions

The area surrounding Compton includes a designated clearway, meaning it is a breach of regulations to park on the verges or along this stretch of road. These restrictions are regularly enforced by the Council and vehicles parked are likely to receive a penalty notice.

No Overnight Parking

We don't allow overnight parking due to the impact on nature and wildlife, staff resource and visitors.

Designated Accessible Parking

Blue badge spaces are available in the car park at Compton Bay.
