What is a 'relaxed hour'?
Relaxed hours at Chartwell offer an alternative experience for people who prefer a tranquil environment. They are particularly well suited to people with sensory needs, anxiety, who are disabled or experiencing health issues, who may find busy public spaces difficult. Pre-booked and timed tickets mean fewer people will be in the house. Our volunteers are on hand to answer questions but will follow your lead - you may explore at your own pace and do not need to interact with others if you do not wish to. As always, carers may visit Chartwell for free and they do not need a booking and our online AccessAble guide provides details about disabled access to our site.
