Autumn Talks at Emmetts Garden: Breaking the rules – Gardening your way with the Black Gardener–Sat

A joyful and refreshing approach to gardening, full of confidence, creativity and personality led by Garden Designer and TV presenter Danny Clarke, aka The Black Gardener. This event is part of the Emmetts Garden Autumn Festival.

Step into a fresh and uplifting take on gardening with Garden Designer and TV presenter The Black Gardener, Danny Clarke. With infectious energy and a relaxed, no-rules approach, Danny explores how to create outdoor spaces that truly reflect who you are.

Blending practical ideas with plenty of personality, this engaging talk is all about building confidence, embracing creativity and finding joy in your garden, whether you’re just starting out or looking to see your space in a new way.

About the speaker: Danny Clarke is a garden designer who shot to fame in 2015 as BBC’s Instant Gardener. His appearances on other shows include ITV’s ‘This Morning’, Alan Titchmarsh's ‘Love Your Garden’ and ‘Filthy Gardens SOS’. He runs his own garden design company, the Black Gardener and co-directs CIC Grow 2 Know, bringing horticulture to young people and disadvantaged communities.

Ticketing information:

Early bird full day passes for talks taking place on Saturday 17 October are available for £50 until 31 August.

Individual talk tickets will be available at the standard rate from 1 September, with prices for each of Saturday’s talks ranging from £10 to £25.

The standard rate price for ‘Breaking the rules – Gardening your way with the Black Gardener (Danny Clarke)’ will be £15 from 1 September.

Step free access but, please note, the meadow may be muddy due to wet weather.

Meeting point

This event takes place on the meadow under a marquee. Please head to the Visitor Centre on arrival with ticket confirmation.
