Step into a magical journey through Christmas past at Ightham Mote. Wander through beautifully decorated rooms and gardens as you experience festive traditions from the pagan medieval period to the sparkle and glitz of the 1980s. With evocative lights, nostalgic soundscapes and seasonal scents, explore how Christmas has been celebrated through the ages – from Victorian splendour and Edwardian charm to 1950s cheer, ending with a tribute to 40 years of National Trust care in 1985.
A festive programme of events including music and craft workshops will be announced shortly.

The garden is steep in places with steps and gravel, cobbles and grass pathways - please speak to staff on arrival for the best route for your needs. Disabled parking is available near visitor reception but there is some gravel in areas of the car park. Pushchairs are permitted in all areas of the garden, but please take care. Take care, there are many open water areas around the garden.
