Join Scotney's head gardener in the Walled Garden this Great Big Green Week as he shares his knowledge about growing vegetables. Find out about successional sowing, green manure crops, and companion planting for wildlife as well as the crops, as well as tips for a bumper harvest.

Call 0344 249 1895 Book your car parking as well as your place on the tour in order to guarantee entry.

Meeting point

Meet at the Garden noticeboard on the garden side of Visitor Entrance.

What to bring and wear

Comfortable shoes for walking are recommended.


Steep inclines in the garden. Hard-surface paths suitable for wheelchairs and powered mobility vehicles. No WCs in garden.


Many of our cut flower beds are in the walled garden where only assistance dogs are permitted.
